No seriously Iam online everyday, cant remember having missed a fight. But fights against Maragon or Edder is not why I signed with PDP in the first place. Iam 33 years old, I want to be in the BIG fights paul!

Well how about filling in a fight on the current fight card? PDP 13!

john vs JACKSON

and

Paul Dion Junior vs Slow Connection

These two fight's still need to be completed.

If you see any of us 4 online, make the challenge and say it's for PDP...then it will count! Hell...even if you see Mikkel Kessler or African Assassin online...they would count towards PDP too...just make sure you let them know!
Dick wrote:Paul, I wanna give you back my PDP contract. You havenĀ“t been able to deliver the career defining fights I was hoping for (vs Viper, Benn, Vargas Rocky, Reaper, Captain America, Bear, Fatny, TRPCHE). Iam no spring chicken anymore and I have a family to maintain. I am sure you understand my reasoning as you are an intelligent guy. If the money is right you can always call me.

Dick

You did have a fight in the past that you didn't turn up to...so i'm always reluctant to use you on the fight card because it's a risk.
If I need you I shall give you a call...the money is always good!
Dick wrote:Have you guys seen the fight where Anderson Silva gets caught in a flying scissor heel lock?

I've seen all of his pro MMA fights.

I even have DVD's from the early 1990's called "Extreme Fighting"...it's the brand before the UFC officially started to get big...the early 90's. Fighters such as Mario Sperry and "Conan" fight in it...take a look at Conan destroy his opponent:

http://uk.truveo.com/Extreme-Fighting-Conan-Inflicts-A-Brutal-Defeat/id/2754143587

This guy was a beast back then...I sometimes see him in the corner for some current Brazilian fighters fighting today!
I agree to what you say Barack...but my money will still be on GSP when they fight...Alves has a chance...but GSP will be too good for him in my eyes!

I rate Anderson Silva at #2 or #3 in the pound for pound list. I agree with Fedor at #1.

My P4P Top 3:

1. Fedor
2. Anderson Silva
3. GSP

Maybe GSP should be #2 ... but not so sure... Either way I rate these guys in my top 3 pound for pound.
This took a long time to write, so no hate!
Paul Dion's "UFC Top Fighter Guide" For MMA Dummies

Lightweight

I see BJ Penn dominating at 155lbs for a long time and staying champion. I believe the only other guys that pose a slight threat to him in the division are Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez. KenFlo is no joke...he looks like Ben Stiller but he is a great fighter who fights intelligently. Sanchez was a top fighter at Welterweight but got beat down by other talented fighters that were naturally bigger guys...so he moved down in weight to 155...now he is the larger guy...if you put two talented fighters against each other...and they both are pretty even on paper...the naturally bigger, stronger guy, will most likely win. So I see Sanchez being deadly at 155!

My Top 3:

1. BJ Penn
2. Kenny Florian
3. Diego Sanchez

Welterweight

Georges St.Pierre will be champion in this division for a long time. Mark my words. He is an absolute beast...a total athlete and excellent fighter. I don't see anyone coming close to him at 170lbs. However other fighters that I rate highly at 170lbs are Thiago Alves and Jon Fitch. I don't see any of them beating GSP though.

My Top 3:

1. GSP
2. Thiago Alves
3. Jon Fitch

Middleweight

One name. Anderson Silva. He is rated by many as pound for pound the best MMA fighter in the world. I'm not sure I rate him number 1 pound for pound but he is in my top 3. He is the most dominant champion at the moment...nobody at 185lbs can beat him... my "future" star in middleweight division is Demian Maia (remember the name). He is an absolute MASTER at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has a semi-decent stand up game...he is decent in the clinch...and he is an absolute genius on the ground. The only other great fighter at middleweight is Dan Henderson. He isn't really the future though because he is a veteran...but he is a beast with knockout power in both hands.

My Top 3:

1. Anderson Silva
2. Demian Maia
3. Dan Henderson

Light Heavyweight

Now this is tough. The division is STACKED with amazing fighters. Right now the champ is Rashad Evans...and rightfully so. I underestimated him in the past...but after knocking out Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffen he won by respect. I love Quinton "Rampage" Jackson but I have to rate Rashad as number 1 right now...because he is so explosive and has excellent movement and agility...with knockout power too. Rampage is just an all out powerhouse with KO power in both hands...he rarely kicks or takes down his opponent...Mikkel will like Rampage because I think he is most like a boxer than any other fighter at 205lbs. He just uses his top boxing ability throughout most of the fight...looking for a knockout. I believe the best up-and-comer has to be Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida...he is like a true ninja on his feet...similar to Rashad Evans...but BETTER footwork and elusiveness. He would probably beat Rampage in a fight because he would be able to hit and run...using his superior footwork to escape Rampages power punches. The only other stand out that could challenge for the title is Forrest Griffin in my opinion.

My Top 3:

1. Rashad Evans
2. Lyoto Machida
3. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson

Heavyweight

Brock Lesnar. His sheer size and strength will be hard to overcome...because he is a good fighter and a world class wrestler too...so it's not just a "big guy"...it is a "big guy who can fight"...very dangerous! He is the champion and I think it will stay that way for quite some time...he is ever improving too. Frank Mir is scheduled to fight him next...he beat him the first time because he caught him in a submission...even though Brock dominated the entire fight...I guarantee this wont happen next time...Brock will smash Mir into lala land. Shane Carwin is new to the game, even though he is old at 34...but his power is IMMENSE...I mean...all his fights have ended in round 1...he has amazing knockout power and recently knocked out Gonzaga with a short right punch...he has a very good chin too because Gonzaga caught him twice on the chin..HARD..and he managed to shake it off. He is an up-and-comer to look out for...remember the name...Shane Carwin! Ok next up...another up-and-comer...but he is younger...Cain Velasques..insiders who work in training camps say this guy is a BEAST...he works so hard and has amazing cardio..he can knock out anyone too..top wrestler also...I think he is future champ...mark my words. Frank Mir also deserves a mention as he beat Brock Lesnar and Minotauro Nogueira recently. Cheik Kongo also deserves a shout out!

My Top 3:

1. Brock Lesnar
2. Frank Mir
3. Shane Carwin

So there it is...I hope you like the post and take an interest in MMA. More specifically the UFC. Remember the guys I picked are just my opinion.
Rocky Marciano wrote:Matt Lindland got tapped twice against Murilo Bustamante. Referee had no clue about ground grappling and ignored Lindland tapping to straight arm bar. fight was restarted and Murilo had to literally choke his opponent out to get a win.

I remember this...it was Big John McCarthy as the ref too...horrible decision to break up the arm bar and continue the fight!

I'm a fan of many martial arts...but WRESTLERS are the most boring in my opinion...well...most of them!!! They usually go for the clinch...throw the opponent down...and sit on them for a while... yawn...BORING...

I do appreciate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu...ever since the Gracie's basically helped create the UFC in the early days. I have many books on Brazilian JJ.. I can do quite a lot of the basic moves like the classic arm bar...kimura...wrist locks...ankle locks...chokes...but i'm only 5'9 in height and 145lbs in weight so I always find it hard to beat my friends in "play fights" because most are over 6'2 tall and weigh 200lbs - 230lbs!!!

WAR MMA!
Red Viper wrote:African Assassin made this thread because he wants my PDP title thats all.

He sure knows how to create hype!

lmao
I agree with Rocky Marciano. I created a fighter called "Steroid" and tested the new stamina change. I had 2 fights against Apollo Creed and won both...however I didn't like the stamina change...it doesn't seem as realistic...if my opponent or myself throws a lot of punches that miss...I would like energy and stamina to decrease properly. I hate that people can now throw millions upon millions of punches that don't hit me...and not get tired...it's CRAZY...please change it back Mikkel...for the love of boxing!!
I don't pay either... MMA-TV on Sopcast and Justin.tv always sort me out!
He is called Matt Hamill...not many people rate him in the MMA community...a lot of us think he is boring to watch...this time though he scored a nice head kick knockout!!!

I try not to smile when he speaks to Joe Rogan at the end of his fights though...

He wouldn't be able to beat Rampage... Rampage didn't look very impressive against Jardine though...but Rampage is a beast...I think he would knock Hamill out COLD!!!!!

I can't wait for Rashad Evans vs Rampage Jackson...will be a great clash of styles...Rashad is very elusive and uses great footwork...he is very althletic, explosive, and smooth.... Rampage on the other hand is just a beast full of power...he can KO with both hands and can throw a lot of people around like rag dolls with his strength...will be an interesting fight.

Lyoto Machida is like a ninja...he fights kinda like Rashad but I think he has better footwork and is more intelligent.

You hardcore boxing fans should watch more MMA and give it a chance.

I love BOTH boxing and MMA!!!
Slow down...PDP 13 aint finished yet!

BIG MAC dont fight Red Viper yet...wait until the card is posted please!
I love OB drama...I wish Red Viper created this type of hype for his PDP fights!!!
keep this sig
