I briefly considered replying "seriously" but knowing that you are just trolling as usual I decided against it. I know you know you are wrong. You need a better effort than that to draw me back to OB2D. This one is just too weak.
It is time to revisit this thread so here is my complete list based on my personal experiences in boxing against good number of people including almost all of the really good players.

1. Fatny

- Fatny has been around for a good while now. He is the best player on OB2D ever. He has not only dominated but has made even best of the HOF look like they don't have a change against him. Other thing about him is that he can take months away from this game and then return and continue dominating after only couple of matches of shaking off the rust. Fatny comes and goes but in the end he always ends up taking the title.

Does not really have a completely style but has rather come up with his own method, which happens to be the best method.

2. Larry Holmes

- Larry has been on top since the very beginning of OB2D. No matter what era Larry has been there on top winning titles. Larry has shown ability to win titles and dominate regardless of changes and era.

3. HTF

- Dominated during his era. On paper rivals Fatny for the title of best ever. What "drops" HTF to third place is the fact that he has not shown same ability to make a come back from retirement as Larry and Fatny.

4. Sugarray

- Best defense of OB2D ever. This combined with his superior boxing skills and stamina control made him a point machine. What he lacked was power to floor people which did cost him bunch of important matches in the long run.

5. Salvador or Rocky Marciano

- What can I say? I just happen to appriciate my own skills and know I have beaten everybody but Fatny silly. My game is very technical and what I call a complete game. Very good defense, very good boxing and very good slugging. I use these skill very intelligently, which frustrates some players as they are used to opponents rushing in only to get KO'ed when in red. It drives some people mad as they realize I am not going to fall into some stupid trap and/or am not going to make any stupid mistakes. Attack when you can afford it and can deal effective damage - fall back when it is a losing deal for you. Yet despite all this I dont make it any higher than this. While some of the other fighters might have more holes in their game, they make it up by having extreme skills in other areas they are able to take advantage of.

Enough of me. Salvador is contender for 5th spot. His boxing is supreme and on level with Sugarray. What he lacks compared to Sugarray is defense. Now his boxing defense is great so do not get me wrong. Salvador does pick you apart with his pinpoint accurate boxing but if you manage to press him and get close he is in trouble as he can be punished with slugging to a good degree. Basically his slugging defense is lacking. It is just that to get close to him without dying you have to be very good, and also to take advantage of it you have to be very good at slugging, so when saying he is suspectible to slugging, it does not mean average player can go and slug him trough the floor.

Other than these 5 boxers rest of them are mortal and perfectly beatable. Some may have a unique style and/or extreme level of skill in one area. While really good it is too easy to work around that one extremely high skill.

ps. Even the best ever king of OB can lose against a total noob. In the long run the noob just loses way more than wins. What else? Oh beating rusty people means nothing.

pps. Please feel free to whine and cry!

I see you have the belt again. Damn you!

Boxing you is about the only reason I might start logging on every now and then. I still need to take that head - the only thing left to do. You are my kryptonite.
You can beat the living hell out of Red Viper, totally outscore him, mop the floor with him and yet he still refuses to give up. In fact it is quite annoying to totally destroy him for 11 rounds only to see him finally land one of his 5000 combos he throws in a fight. Other 4999 miss, eat all his stamina but the last one lands in round 12 and KO's you.

...and that's when you cry and ragequit!

Quite annoying indeed.

Been there and seen that. Good thing I took care of that rivalry long ago Took me a while to admit that it is much safer to floor him for good.
Ouch!

Oh well I wish him the best and hope he will continue his MMA career. Much respect for him for putting it all on the line and actually stepping into the cage/ring.
From where can I download client for OB2D? There is no link on OB website for OB2D client, at least I can not find it. Also the client I have does not work. It only gives me following error message:

Server returned HTTP response code 500 for URL: HTTP://onlineboxing.net/boxing/applications/boxing.xml

I tried to log on to OB2D but there was no server to log on to. As far as beating Jhon and others go, I am living quite busy life so I do not think I am going to have time to log on ofthen enough to even catch any of you online.

All that being said I do not think I could even beat Redneck as it is. Ever since I bought a new lap top (which is a good while ago) I have not had table top computer. Keypad on this laptop is too small for any "competitive" gaming and yes I do use keypad. Other than that OB2D and laptop does not make a happy couple.

I might end up buying a new table top computer before next year. If I do that - it is going to be whole another story.

Anyway it is good to hear from you all and good to see OB2D is back up and alive. Take care, have fun and lot of luck in life.

Rocky Marciano
I just found out OB forums are back. I just decided to pass by and say hi to you all.

Few things:

- The obvious one: Do not get taken down. He is used to being on top due to his wrestling skills. Due to his wrestling backround he has superior balance and sweeping him is going to be super hard. High level wrestlers who also do BJJ, are very used to being on top (because that's all they ever do) and their top game is around brown-black belt level.

- The dangerous one: Do not clinch with him. You may think Muay Thai plum (Muay Thai clinch) is a good idea with him but no. He is very used to being in the clinch and his clinch wrestling skills negate Muay Thai plum.

- The chance: Strike, sprawl, back up, strike. That's the formula for success in this case provided that you are better striker. If not... Anyway when ever he gets close just PUSH him away HARD with both hands and then fire a kick/strikes.

- The failure: If you fail and he manages to clinch just go for hardest elbow or knee you can do because he is going to take you down anyway so why not to try to hurt him before that happens despite the risk of getting taken down (which is irrelevant since it is going to happen anyway). If he manages to take you down in general be lame and stall for artificial stand up. Hold on for dear like so that he ref has to stand you two up. Yeah for sure it sounds lame, for sure it is lame but that's MMA for you. It happen all the time in MMA. You get to reset the situation.

- The success: If you manage to get decent strikes in he will eventually "panic" and use too much energy trying to get the fight on ground, which lead him getting gassed. Then all you need to do is finish him.

Oh and good luck. Your most likely better strikes since he has extensive wrestling backround, which means he will be flat footed, which is not that good for striking but is great for grappling.

4 out of 5 LOL's!
Nice.
1. Fatny

2. Captain America

3. Captain America

and yes he is that famous so he deserves two separate spots then way below

4. Profs

and then way below

5. Slugger

THAT list or following people in no particular order: Fatny, Black Bear, Profs, Goldenboy, John, Captain America, Ken Norton, Toosmooth (and yes all those people play the game).
The thing about 2007 settings it this:

2007 settings were good for both sluggers and boxers. There were people who did nothing but slugging destroying even elite fighters in 1-4 rounds. For example Unstoppable came back and destroyed people with pure agressive slugging.

Then there were boxers that really picked people apart with well timed punch combinations.

and despite there being some supreme boxers with sensational defensive skills sluggers still had chance due to stamina really going down so that in later rounds the KO was there up for graps so people like Red Viper were damn dangerous (and annoying).

There really were not that many lame tactics.

Last but not least the game was FUN to play and due to that OB2D always had really decent amount of people online.
Just laughing at word official being thrown around a lot these days here and there. Seem like everything these days is "official".

anyway back to subject

I suppose the game has picked up slightly. I logged on few times and saw couple more players than I did 3-4 months ago. It is good to hear from you Vargas.
Are you not quick to change the subject or what You already know the answer to that question of yours, you should not even be asking. So many, that I myself no longer remember all of them But ultimately what does any of this have to do with Captain America having most fanboys? Easily the most popular boxer on OB2D. Captain America for the win and Captain America for HOF!
