Mikkel -

We are alienating players from the U.S. at the moment. I have the fastest internet connection available and cannot play the game due to the terrible latency/ping from the U.S. to Germany. Maybe this could be an opportunity to bring back the ability to host your own server, and maybe it would also allow for the regional titles to come back. I was hoping to come out of retirement and start playing from time to time again but this is not playable with the current situation.

with the Server in the us i always got good 137-143 ping (due to my high Quality Connection it was without skipping and the Speed was good playable). Now we, the guys from europe got good pings and good Connections.
I remember creating an own Server with trpche. It was highspeed-fighting. Not the normal Speed with perfect ping..no, no..it was like fast Forward x 4. Very funny but not really good playable with fighters faster than light..lol.

Idk. I think this server is pretty good for most fighters.

It alienates people that are in the west coast. And South America as well.

"John represents the renaissance of OB. John stepped up and filled the vacuum Fatny left behind. Not only his skills are amazing, also his dedication to keep this game interesting and alive. I was there when he first won the title, I was watching over his shoulder when he bullied all competition, I was there when he became a HOF´er. I may not be a great fighter myself, but I do have eye for talent. John is something special, I told him right after he won his first title. John is the spark that became a flame that turned into a devastating fire. Apart from being a great guy he never stepped down from a challenge and always looked to square off against OB´s best to further improve his skills. Many HOF´ers made short comebacks during the year John reigned OB, only to be knocked out by Big Bad John." - Dick E. Boon

"The thing with John is that he's just so extremely accurate, both in offense and in defense. There's some punches I consider myself a master of, like the small hook and the long upper. Well they're useless against John no matter how well you throw them, he just keeps blocking 90% of them and hurting you in the process. Speaking of which...if he hurts you (and he will), you better move your head a lot because he also happens to be one of the best finishers i've ever seen. Basically if you're not extremely good AND creative, you'll end up on the floor. A fine addition to the hall of fame indeed." - Fatny

It would be nice to bring back the hosting of your own server.. least that way people have a better chance of fighting with better/improved connection speeds.

I agree with Bear. And I disagree with Maxie. The Sniper, Killer, Canelo, Here To FIght and whoever else that lives in the west coast to Mid USA will have 180-190 ms connection. Dick E. Boon had a 180ms connection and he can't even fight much anymore because of the server location. If the server was in a reasonable place for everybody we all would have good connection and weall can fight around the same speed. The previous location was St. Louis, Missouri. If it was in any of the Carolinas we would all have around the same ping unless we are near by which nobody is near north or south carolina. You guys have an average of 40 ms in the germany server. You guys would have a 90-100ms for a carolina server. Boon would have a 160ms ping or less which would be very good for him. West Coast players would have a 100ms ping. And Redneck I believe you would have a 100-120ms ping which is way better then the 140ms you were prviously at. If any of you agree or disagree with this then say it.
