This saturday night live from MSG New York city two highly regarded light heavyweights will go at it in a 12 round contest.

IMHO i think jones has about a 5-10 percent chance of winning, and that this may turn out to be a gross mismatch. Upon hearing teddy atlas pick jones to upset calzaghe i'm about 99 percent sure joe calzaghe will win. Roy right now is shot past the point of return, it is sad because jones of 2003 would have not only beat calzaghe but would have given him a sadistic beating. Be that as it may Calzaghe will win and run away from the sport lick a sucker....... I kno this may make me sound crazy, but i'm going with Roy Jones to upset the slapping master via late round stoppage!!!!!!!

By the way what do you guys think?

I think Calzaghe doesnt have the power to KO Jones. And I think Jones is still the better boxer. So Jones by UD.

I disagree with your percentage for RJJ's chances of winning...you think he has just 5-10% chance of beating Calzaghe...I think its more like 40%!

Calzaghe throws so many "punches"...you Americans will say slaps coz you always give Joe a hard time...coz he aint American
So due to the high work rate and punch output...I have to go for Calzaghe to win via unanimous decision...HOWEVER...I still think RJJ is a lively underdog...40% chance of winning..if he does win...I think it will be a KO or TKO!!!

Makes me laugh when I see your continual bashing of Calzaghe...you have no clue what you are on about.

I see this fight as a 50/50, Calzaghe has the speed, but Jones is naturally the bigger man so he would have the power advantage, although he hasn't shown his knockout capabilities the last few years. I just hope it isn't a cagey fight which is what I'm predicting.

as jones got older he has slowed down... he goes against the ropes and lets his oponent fire away.... I hope he doesnt do that against calzaghe...

But I think Jones is motivated and has 1 more great fight in him.. I'm going with jones UD

Yep.

RJ jr. by UD or late KO. More likely a decision. Once Roy understands that Calslappy can't hurt him, RJ should give him a boxing lesson. 100 slaps per round won't get the decision against RJ's flashy combo's.

He lost that fight. Many slaps were counted as punches landed.

Calzaghe by a very one sided decision. He will just completely outwork Roy whether they are "slaps" or not. They will still hurt after he lands loads.

Calzaghe will outbox Jones, just like he completely outboxed Hopkins . Jones won't be able to trade punches with Calzaghe efficiently and Calzaghe can punch non-stop for ages so unless Jones can catch Calzaghe with some massive shots, I can't see Jones winning.

Calzaghe will probably win, though don't be to sure. But had they fought 5-10 years ago, it would have been a completely different fight.
